IMPORTANCE OF PARTICIPATION
The national scientific community participation is essential, because if there isn’t this type of mobilization, it won’t be possible to evolve in spectral remote sensing on soil in Brazil. Soil mapping in Brazil (and in the world) in scales compatible with the needs will only be driven with the geotechnologies and sensors use, given their fastness and low cost in soil analysis, which will enable their use in a bigger sample density.
REQUISITES TO CONTRIBUTE
FOR THOSE WHO ALREADY HAVE EQUIPMENT AND/OR SPECTRA
Own reflectance data obtained on the spectral range from 350 to 2500 nm and for each 1 nm (spectral resolution), preferentially, through Analytical Spectral Devices (ASD) equipment, such as FieldSpec, Agrispec, and TerraSpec. Or obtain spectra, according to PROTOCOL.
FOR THOSE WHO DON’T HAVE EQUIPMENT AND/OR SPECTRA
For those who don’t have equipment and, however, would like to participate of the SSLB (BESB) project, the technical staff will be able to make the spectral data acquisition in the Remote Sensing Laboratory (LSO/ESALQ/USP) by sending samples, according to PROTOCOL.
EFFECTIVE PARTICIPATION
DATA COLLECTION
In order to organize the information, we have an excel spreadsheet as a model attached, according to PROTOCOL
SAMPLING SITES
The spectral library will accept samples from any region of Brazil, and even from Latin America sites, already foreseeing the BSSL project expansion..
